Assessing the vibration response of foundation embedment in gypseous soil

Abstract One of the most critical engineering problems that occur in foundations machines resting on soil is problem transmission vibration from machine to foundation and then soil. This leads increased stresses layers settlement as well. In this article, an experimental model a rotary located gypseous sandy (36% gypsum content) has been studied. The weight with was 26 kPa subjected 10 Hz frequency. study comprises investigating effect embedment depth behavior foundation. results indicated surface increase amplitude displacement pressure region under half thickness (0.5H) reduction values remained within permissible limits, while decreased about 37%. 1.0H gives more stability foundation, increases layers, decreases 50%.
